Botox & filler on a cruise stop

Injectables are quick, but life on board (hot tubs, cocktails, early nights lying flat in a cabin) affects aftercare. Here is how the doctor plans them for cruise passengers.

Quick answer: Botox suits a cruise port day: it takes about 10–15 minutes and results appear over the following days. Fillers are possible on longer calls, but swelling or bruising can last a few days and there is no in-person follow-up after you sail, so the doctor may suggest conservative amounts. Avoid massage, hot tubs, saunas and heavy drinking on the day.

Botox on a port day

Popular areas include forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet, square jaw and skin Botox. You can choose a Korean toxin or imported brands such as Allergan and Xeomin.

Filler on a longer call

Lip, chin and under-eye filler give an immediate change, but swelling and small bruises can last several days. Because you sail the same day, the doctor may suggest a conservative amount and asks you to send photos if anything concerns you.

After you sail

Message photos on WhatsApp at any time. If you notice something urgent, such as increasing pain or skin colour changes after filler, contact the ship’s medical centre immediately and message the clinic.
